My name is Josh and I am the CTO of Dreamscape Technologies. You clicked the about tab at the top of this page, so you must want to know a little about Dreamscape Technologies. Let me tell you about the company and why you should chose us over anyone else in the area.

In 1987, the Internet did not exist as we know it today. The world of the baud was just getting started and most people did not know of this new technology. I received my first Apex computer running DOS this year, and quickly picked up on this new technology. This was an expensive box that did what it was told to do! I hooked my new PC up to my Hayes external modem, and connected to the Star City BBS. That’s where it all began.

In the early 90′s, Prodigy emerged as the first ISP with a GUI (graphical user interface), then AOL quickly followed. I was a member of Prodigy, and even dipped in the AOL bandwagon for a brief period before hopping over to WorldComs’ rival to AOL, CompuServe. Along the same time, the Internet was in its infant stages. Hotmail was just forming, GeoCities, Lycos, sites like that were pretty much all that the Internet had on it. I had a homepage on GeoCities, and helped others build their websites there and design pages for people.

In 1997, my dad Bobby had a garage TV repair business where he fixed small electronics. I joined in with this garage business along with their next door neighbor Ed, (a Microsoft employee from the MSN DevTeam) and started fixing peoples computers.

Fast forward to today. There are hundreds of people who know how to fix computers. Hundreds of people know how to design websites. Kids learn how to do this in high school now. After all, to an average techie, swapping out a hard drive, reinstalling Windows is like putting on shoes, it’s very easy to do.
